One of the most athletically gifted players in the entire conference, Raiya Rumo presents challenges to attacking players every game. The fourth-year defender is coming off a 2023 season where she was named a Canada West First Team All-Star, and she will be leaned on heavily by coach Mark Pennington to provide a jolt on offense as well as her signature physical defending.

UBC Okanagan Heat:

Now in her fourth season with the Heat, West Kelowna's Abigail Taneda is a focal point for UBCO's attack as the program pursues a deep playoff run this year. Among the speediest forwards in the conference, Taneda is coming off a 7-point season in 2022 and an 8-point effort in 2023, with coach Craig Smith hoping she can take another step forward with the absence of graduated striker Stefanie Young.

UNBC Timberwolves

Record: 0-2-0 (7th in Pacific Division)
Goals For: 1 (13th in Canada West)
Goals Against: 8 (12th in Canada West)
Goals Leader: Claire Turner (1)
Assists Leader: Kjera Hayman (1)
Points Leader: Claire Turner, Kjera Hayman (3)
Saves Leader: Lauren Gubbels (8)

Player to Watch: Kjera Hayman

With more than 40 games under her belt, Kjera Hayman is a source of experience, knowledge, and work-rate for a young Timberwolves squad in 2024. A beloved teammate, the Penticton product is crucial to coach Neil Sedgwick's approach, and her endless energy is an asset for all 90 minutes. Coming off an assist against the Victoria Vikes, the fourth-year midfielder will need to be strong against the Pack and Heat.
