Midfielder Abdel Coulibaly is set to begin his second season in Canada West. The product of Côte d'Ivoire fast became one of John Antulov's most reliable offensive weapons in 2024, and a now having a full year of familiarity under his belt should help him reach even greater heights in 2025. Two of Coulibaly's three goals last season came on October 19 at home against UNBC, so we'll see if that recent success can translate into a strong debut in 2025.

Player to Watch: Isaac Tate

During his first two seasons at UNBC, Victoria's Isaac Tate has already made his mark as one of the most skilled, shiftiest players to ever represent the Green and Gold. But now even more will be expected of the third-year midfielder as he and his teammates look to climb the Canada West table in 2025. Every time Tate touches the ball there's the potential for something extraordinary to happen, and a big weekend from Tate would go a long way in providing a positive jolt of confidence to Steve Simonson's crew at the start of the 2025 season.

Milestone Watch:
  • Charlie Stewart is two games shy of 40 for his Canada West career.
  • Hagon Kim is two games of shy of 30 for his Canada West career.
  • Logan Pierce needs just six saves to reach 100 for his Canada West career.
  • Isaac Tate sits three assists shy of 10, and seven assists shy of matching Tofa Fakunle's program record of 14.
