Heading into action this weekend, second-year forward Kiana Langston has notched goals in back-to-back contests for UFV. With two goals through four games, the North Vancouver product leads the team and is already halfway towards matching her goal total from 2023. A strong outing from Langston this weekend would go a long way for the Cascades who are still on the hunt for their first road victory of 2024.

Fourth-year forward Charity Field is coming off a huge two-goal effort last Saturday against Mount Royal. Twice the Spartans trailed, and twice they tied it thanks to the foot of Field. Field's second strike of the night came during stoppage time, allowing Trinity Western to remain unbeaten on the season at 2-0-2. Points are already at a premium for the Spartans who are in a fight at the top of the table with UBC and Victoria, and another big outing from Field this weekend would certainly help their cause.

Â
You couldn't have scripted a better Sunday for third-year goalkeeper
Brityn Hinsche. After leaving UNBC's opening match of the season due to injury, Hinsche returned to the goal last Sunday and sparked her team to a 1-0 victory on the strength of 14 saves. For her efforts, Hinsche was named Canada West Women's Soccer Player of the Week and can now lay claim to three clean sheets for her career along with 173 total saves. The reigning team MVP and Top Female Athlete at UNBC will likely be leaned on heavily once again this weekend to try and extend UNBC's winning ways.
Â
Milestone Watch:
- Last weekend at home, Sidney Elliott surpassed the 30-game mark for her Canada West career
- Camryn Cline is two games shy of 30 for her Canada West career.

- With her goal against Victoria on September 8, Claire Turner is now tied with Madison Emmond on the Timberwolves' Canada West career points leaderboard
- Kate Rattee and Blake Plummer have both recorded their first career Canada West goals so far this season.
