Saturday night in Kamloops, the UNBC Timberwolves (1-13) wrapped up their road double-header with a 103-75 setback to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack. Simon Crossfield nailed six threes on his way to a game-high 22 for TRU while the UNBC tandem of
Evgeny Baukin (20) and
Isaiah Bias (19) responded with 39 combined points. Six different members of the WolfPack finished with 11-or-more points while
Ben White and
Marcus Wilson joined Baukin and Bias in double figures for UNBC. Baukin and Bias each added five boards for the TWolves in defeat.

1st Quarter –
- TRU jumped out to a 33-13 lead through the opening 10 minutes.
- TRU started the game on a 16-2 run as all five TRU starters found the scoresheet. Asher Mayan and Cyrus Harrison each had four during that run for TRU.
- Denys Bachurin then got hot for TRU, going three-for-three from deep. He led all first-quarter scorers with nine points.
- The first bucket of the night for UNBC came from first-year big man Miller Davies.
- Isaiah Bias then rattled off back-to-back makes for UNBC. He led the TWolves with four first quarter points.
2nd Quarter –
- A much better result in the second quarter for UNBC as they outpaced TRU 28-23.
- Baukin led the way in the second for UNBC with 10, but he had plenty of help as Marcus Wilson chimed in with six while White and Bias had five. Â
- UNBC jumped off to a 5-2 run to start the second as Baukin finished an And 1 play, and Ben White then followed with a jumper.
- Marcus Wilson and White then nailed threes, extending the UNBC run to 11-4.
- Simon Crossfield poured in six for the WolfPack in the second to lead the hosts.
- At half UNBC's Baukin led all scorers with 12, but Bachurin (11), Harrison (11) and Farinloye (10) combined for 34 for TRU.
- The rebounding leaders at half were Bias (4) for UNBC and Harrison (4) for TRU.
3rd Quarter –
- TRU outscored UNBC 31-15 in the third.
- Eight of TRU's 31 in the third came from Mayan while Steve Stinson, Erin Chamble and Dami Farinloye also hit from deep.
- The leader for UNBC in the third was Bias who poured in eight more, and led all TWolves through three with 17 points – just two back of his career best.Â
4th Quarter –
- UNBC outscored TRU 19-16 in the final quarter.
- Seven different Timberwolves found the scoresheet in the final quarter with Baukin leading the way with four.
- Simon Crossfield buried a trio of threes in response for TRU on his way to a team-high 22.
 The UNBC Timberwolves will now return home in time for a 12:00 pm matinee clash with the University of Fraser Valley Cascades on Friday, January 31 at Brownridge Court.
