WBB Preview: TWolves Welcome Pandas For Halloween Weekend Double-Header

For the first time since November of 2016, the UNBC Timberwolves will host the Alberta Pandas in Canada West basketball. Sergey Shchepotkin's young squad is eager to get back onto the hardcourt after a difficult opening night result against UBCO on Sunday.  They'll face a stiff test this weekend against a 2-0 Alberta squad who's coming off a third-place finish in the conference a season ago.

In the third quarter of Sunday's tilt with UBCO, first-year guard Lorenn Caceres entered the game and made a big impact. The Prince George product recorded eight points on three-of-five shooting. Caceres hit twice from deep and added a rebound and a block to her totals. She did this in only 15 minutes of work. More performances like this are going to quickly help her earn trust from the coaches and her teammates. It was a solid debut and something positively to build on moving forward.
