With three Canada West championships, two conference MVP awards, and a U SPORTS Player of the Year honour under his belt, Diego Maffia is running out of things to accomplish at the Canada West level. Never the less, the fifth-year guard from Victoria is back for his final season of Canada West play. When the TWolves and Vikes last met in the 2024 Canada West playoff semi finals, Maffia had 40 field goal attempts and 34 points.

Now in his third season of Canada West play, forward Evgeny Baukin is off to a strong start offensively, averaging 17.5 points-per-game. On Sunday at home against TRU, Baukin had a game-high 22 points on nine-of-21 shooting, and added three assists. After averaging 13.2 points-per-game last season, more will continue to be expected from Baukin who's combination of size, speed, and finish make him a handful for even the best Canada West defenders.
