When guards Sarah Kuklisin and Claire Huang were lost to injury, it meant more minutes and more offensive looks would be up for grabs for a young Timberwolves roster. Enter Amrit Manak, a second-year guard who looks to have taken a step from her freshman campaign in green and gold. The Toronto product is shooting 40% from three-point land, and has shown a more aggressive inside game; after attempting 28 free-throws last season, Manak has shot 15 in the first two games this year. She will need to be good at both ends for Sergey Shchepotkin's TWolves to secure their first win of the campaign.
MacEwan Griffins (0-4)

38.0 Points Scored Per Game (17th)
76.5 Points Allowed Per Game (14th)
Scoring Leader: Noelle Kilbreath (10.7 Per Game)
Rebounding Leader: Maggie Smith (7.0 Per Game)Â

Steals Leader: Noelle Kilbreath (2.3 Per Game)
Blocks Leader: Toni Gordon (0.7 Per Game)
Player To Watch: Noelle Gilbreath, G
10.7 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 2.7 APG, 2.3 SPG
With Mackenzie Farmer graduated from the program, Noelle Kilbreath takes over the mantle as the best and most important player on the MacEwan Griffins. A third-year guard, Kilbreath has long been a solid scorer at the Canada West level, but the Calgary product has taken a step in her ball-handling and defense this season. She is enjoying career highs in rebounding, assists, and steals, while leading Katherine Adams's program in scoring. UNBC will look to contain Kilbreath, which will go a long way in limiting the Griffins productivity.
