Prince George, B.C. – The UNBC Timberwolves Student Athlete Society (TSAS) is proud to name
Bianca Encina-Prosser and her two children —
Roman (6) and
Viviana (16 months) — as the TSAS MVPs for the 2025-26 school year.
Bianca, Roman, and Viviana have recently escaped domestic violence and are in the early stages of recovery as they work to rebuild their lives here in Prince George. Following a traumatic incident in July that left them without a safe place to live, the family has faced enormous emotional and financial challenges.
During this period of transition, Bianca has been unable to work, but continues to prioritize the safety, healing, and wellbeing of her two young children. Her strength and determination have inspired the Timberwolves Student Athlete Society to rally together with an ambitious goal — to raise more funds than ever before for their annual MVP campaign.
"As student-athletes, we believe in using our platform for something bigger than ourselves — to bring light where there is darkness and remind others that community always wins," said TSAS President Hagon Kim. "We can't do this alone. It takes compassion, support, and most importantly, community. We're inviting everyone in Prince George to join us in showing this family that they are not alone."
This year's campaign will feature three fundraising events including:
- Three-on-Three Basketball Tournament – Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Northern Sports Centre from 10 am – 4 pm.
- Annual TSAS Bottle Drive – Dates and times TBD
- Annual TSAS Dodgeball Tournament – Date and time TBD
The new basketball tournament marks an exciting addition to the TSAS schedule and offers an early opportunity to generate meaningful support for Bianca and her family.
"This tournament is more than just a game — it's a chance to change a family's life," added Kim. "Every dollar raised will go directly to helping Bianca, Roman, and Viviana on their journey toward safety, healing, and stability."
The entry for the basketball tournament is
$50 per team, and additional donations are encouraged. TSAS will also be collecting
new or gently used toddler supplies throughout the event.
